UFC President Dana White encounters the viral Las Vegas judge who was assaulted in the courtroom.

UFC CEO Dana White recently met with Clark County District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus, who gained widespread attention after being attacked in her courtroom by convicted felon Deobra Redden. The incident occurred when Redden, denied probation, lunged at Judge Holthus after being sentenced to up to four years in prison. Despite suffering minor injuries in the assault, Judge Holthus returned to work the following day. Redden’s aggressive behavior extended beyond attacking Judge Holthus, as he also allegedly spat at one of the officers restraining him during the altercation. Subsequently, Redden now faces an attempted murder charge stemming from his actions in Judge Holthus’ courtroom.

In the aftermath of the incident, Dana White, known for his involvement in Nevada, crossed paths with Judge Holthus, showcasing his support for her. White shared a photo of himself alongside Judge Holthus on Instagram Stories, depicting her in good spirits despite the ordeal. Redden’s initial charge preceding the courtroom attack stemmed from a baseball bat assault in April 2023, resulting in a sentence of 19 months to four years in prison. However, his assault on Judge Holthus exacerbated his legal situation significantly, as he reportedly grabbed her hair, placed his hands around her throat, and struck her in the head.

Redden’s legal defense has attempted to mitigate the severity of his actions by referencing diagnoses of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Currently held in solitary confinement, Redden faces serious legal consequences for his violent outburst in the courtroom.
